2022 Chevrolet Silverado ZRX
Check out the upcoming Chevrolet Silverado ZRX
According to Muscle Cars & Trucks, citing sources familiar with GM's truck plans, the Chevrolet Silverado ZRX pick-up will arrive in 2022, with the Colorado ZR2 preceding a step in the Bowtie range of off-road trucks.
The Silverado ZRX has an air suspension system with Multimatic DSSV dampers, similar to those used in the Colorado ZR2, as well as an electronic front and rear differential lock, increasing its off-road efficiency.
The engine didn't receive any modifications, to remain the same, a 6.2-liter V8 engine, producing 420 hp. But we cannot rule out any changes or additions to the engine before the ZRX arrives, and Muscle Cars & Trucks notes that the new 3.0-liter Silverado diesel engine can be found in the ZRX.
To make these claims more credible, GM has applied for ownership rights for the ZRX as of August 15, to be named for "SUVs, trucks, pickups, engines and chassis parts". On the other hand, in a rapid development, Fox Racing Inc, the supplier of suspension components for off-road trucks, applied for ownership of the ZRX name on August 22 as a name for "Custom Pickups".
The fact that two companies have applied for ZRX ownership rights for similar purposes makes us wonder if Fox is somehow working with GM on this project. Fox already provides suspension components for cars such as the Ford F-150 Raptor and Toyota TRD Pro models. Thus, adding another company to its customer list does not seem strange or shocking.
The rumor has it that the Silverado is getting an interior modification for the 2021, and if the ZRX arrives in 2022, it will certainly get those modifications and improvements.
